Botting–Foxton inconsistency

edit

The James Botting article says that he has executioner from 1817 to 1819 and that two of his notable executions were in 1820 (Cato Street conspiracy) and 1824. The article also states that his successor was his assistant John Foxton.

The [John Foxton]] article says that he succeeded James Botting as executioner in 1818 and that he was responsible for the execution of the Cato Street conspiracy members in 1820.

There are obvious inconsistencies between these two articles, although I cannot determine what the actual story should be.

The Wikipedia community respectfully requests any editors knowledgeable in this subject review the information in these two articles and resolve the inconsistencies. Truthanado (talk) 01:52, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
