Talk:James Coburn (criminal)

Problem

edit

The ESPY pdf lists Coburn's crime as robbery, but the State of Alabama death list has him executed for murder.[1] Is this a discrepancy in records, a flat error, or reflective of original research by an editor looking at the document? --Dhartung | Talk 20:11, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

I came to this article out of the blue, interested in the last person in the US to be executed other than for murder. That, and the reference provided, to me clearly establish notability. The discussion above is interesting and, if suitable verification is available, would add to the interest of the article and notability of the individual. Thincat 10:17, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Maybe a merge to Capital punishment in the United States would be appropriate (if the information is verified). That way the information that you were looking for wouldn't be lost. Pan Dan 16:05, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
The information is already contained in Capital punishment in the United States, even if unsourced. I will propose deletion of this article now redirect the article to there. --B. Wolterding 07:52, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Thincat above.Amyzex (talk) 16:50, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
