James Graham attended his daughter's wedding

edit

According to the San Francisco Daily/Morning Call newspaper dated June 4, 1890, page 1.

Two times in the article it mentions him leading his daughter down the aisle, and it mentioned again that he arrived at 8 p.m. for the ceremony. However, he was not at the reception. His sons stood in line to greet attendees.

This conflicts with what is written in Wikipedia. I can't imagine the paper would have gotten it wrong. This was one of the highest profile stories of the time, 10,000 words. California Digital Newspaper Collection has the article online: https://cdnc.ucr.edu/

Rayhosler, then be bold, go ahead and add that! I notice that the part about him staying in his hotel room isn't really cited, the reference there is more of a comment/footnote, so I don't see anything that needs discussion. creffett (talk) 02:44, 22 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
