Infobox
editI restored the infobox. If you are using mobile Wikipedia this is what you see first, all the data formatted for easy access to fit on your screen. --RAN (talk) 17:01, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

Well, that escalated quickly. I'm not a big fan of biographical infoboxes, admittedly, but I haven't been wantonly removing them as I've gone through and improved the referencing on this branch of the Hamiltons. I did remove this, and one other, because they really seemed unhelpful in desktop view, repeating at low density on the right side what one could just as well take in on the left. I did browse around a bit in mobile after seeing this, and I'm still not convinced that on those articles, an infobox is really an improvement over a succinct, well-written lead. I will go back and fiddle with the sectionalization of some of the articles; I had forgotten how important that is on mobile. Choess (talk) 02:40, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- I agree. At just 5,600 bytes, this article does not need a box. The people enforcing one here are doing so as they think consistency overrides everything else. It doesn't. CassiantoTalk 08:54, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- It's evident that this article, along with all the other articles that I've taken issue with, is being trolled by the same numpty, who appears to locate to Boston, England. Aside from socking (I suspect they are a logged out or banned user) they are reverting the very issue we are trying to discuss. As they are failing to engage here, I consider this to be disruptive and vandalistic. CassiantoTalk 18:16, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- I agree, and I asked for page protection some hours ago.. but it's a bit like waiting for a bus there at the mo :) The IP is also attempting to avoid 3RR by skipping around; that won't work either, I imagine. >SerialNumber54129...speculates 18:52, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
