Dictionary of National Biography contradicts the article, saying that he married three times, first a daughter of Dundas of Newliston, then Grissel and last Marion, and that he had three sons and one daughter. I guess that dictionary might be wrong about some or even all of the things, but what is the source to our claims (two marriages, first Marion then Grissel, three daughters and four sons)?
