Please make a disambiguation page for this man and James Moffat. Yopienso 04:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article says that Mr. Moffatt died in 1944 yet it also says he completed his commentary and concordance in 1949! How can that be? Maybe he had a son named James A. R. Moffatt and maybe that person completed the Moffatt commentary and Concordance. For example I have an edition of Moffatt's Bible with Concordance which has copyrights of 1950, 1952, 1953, and 1954 by a James A. R. Moffatt. The first page of the Concordance says the Concordance is copyright 1951 by Harper & Brothers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.150.1.29 (talk) 23:18, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Coincidental Disambiguation

edit

It would be interesting to know if there is any relation, or none whatsoever, between the author editor of The Moffatt Bible by James Moffatt, and the author of many television episodes, like for the Doctor Who series, by another Scottsman often about Glascow, Steven Moffatt. 76.167.47.5 (talk) 22:22, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Old Testament

edit

Moffatt also translated the Old Testament. My copy of _A New Translation of the Bible Containing the Old and new Testaments__ is dated 1935. Earlier copyrights, for one Testament or the other, I suppose, are 1922, 1924, 1925, 1926. --Joe R. Christopher. 173.255.47.221 (talk) 22:21, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
