Fair use rationale for Image:Dead-silence-movie-poster.jpg
editImage:Dead-silence-movie-poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

editI've completed updated and redone the page (see the history for details). I was thinking that it no longer needs citing, seeing as I've done this :D. — Movie Junkie 15:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
You should remove those ugly images too (the ones in his filmography) Adalberaht (talk) 16:09, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Nationality
editDespite what some editors may prefer, Malaysian sources have identified him as a Malaysian-born Australian. This kind of nationalistic edit warring needs to stop. I have added a citation to the article from a Malaysian newspaper. If the edit warring/content blanking doesn't end, I'll request page protection. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:07, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
Subheadings
editDear @NinjaRobotPirate, I feel your reversal is bit a blind. First, Non-neutral headings: May or may not be partially accepted. And about that successful or setback, those are defined by the reviewers under the "Reception" subheading in the concerned film articles and even still they are (short) summarised or mentioned in the content of this article, which you would have supposed to known, if you have read thoroughly. And instead of defining the stages of his career, why almost every films repeats in the sub headings? As a film maker, he does direction, writing and production which are all part of a career, including videogames and unreleased projects. If so, why they can't be able split into appropriate Level-3 subheadings (sections) and grouped under a Level-2 subheading. Also i was trying to restructure the major content of the article, so that a timeline is framed and followed for the article subject to MOS:BLP in a proper fashion. Am sorry, if anything hurts you. Enlighten me in a best possible way, if am erred anyway. Thanks. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 03:07, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
- The new headings are non-neutral. The original ones were better — Wikipedia does not identify stuff as a "successful debut". If it identifies it at all, it says just "debut". "Successful" is unnecessary puffery. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 18:15, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, i have no intentions of puffery kinda stuff. I just felt that the films names in subheadings are quite repetitive and unnecessary. Feel free to change. Thank you. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 20:21, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

- Not done: It's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.
- Note:: User copy and pasted the entire mainspace article here. Original diff here: [1]. It's unclear if they changed anything, but it's too long for anyone to check. ◢ Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 09:50, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
