editI wrote this article based on the one Drawbell-related book available to me, his autobiography The Sun within Us, and also on some scattered references to his books and plays that I was able to Google.
I would be extremely grateful if somebody with access to proper sources could populate this with more relevant information and generally make this more reliable and extensive. I find it highly strange that there is scarcely anything at all on the Internet about him; surely a person who in his day was a wanted companion for people such as Churchill and prominent enough to have tea with Hitler merits more than a passing mention?
