Orphaned references in Jan Vertonghen

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Jan Vertonghen's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bbc":

  • From Thomas Vermaelen: "Brazil v Russia". BBC. 22 June 2014. Retrieved 22 June 2014.
  • From Dirk Kuyt: "Kuyt reveals Liverpool approach". BBC Sport. 17 July 2006. Archived from the original on 30 June 2006. Retrieved 24 May 2006. {{cite news}}: |archive-date= / |archive-url= timestamp mismatch; 3 June 2010 suggested (help)
  • From Rafael van der Vaart: Whatever happened to Rafael van der Vaart? – BBC Sport, 7 December 2005

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 17:19, 22 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Well his own goal is the winner of the 2024 France Belgium quarter-final and should be regarded as noteworthy and 'mentioned'. Any thoughts? Just saying ... 96.252.76.112 (talk) 18:49, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

JIC - Saw the goal - Reason for mentioning - unlike other OG this was a victim of circumstance goal, aka a deflection goal vs an intentional redirect goal from a defender. Unfortunate, but IMO, still noteworthy aka a game changer moment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.252.76.112 (talk) 19:31, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
