As the subject of this article, (and being a living person) I do not wish to disclose too personal biographical details, which I do not feel enhance appreciation of my work as a film-maker. This is why I deleted unnecessary details. I appreciate the attention, however, and understanding. You can reach me by leaving a note here or via my agent Jean Diamond. J. - No problem Jana, thanks for the explanation, sorry about the misunderstanding. --Canley (talk) 03:20, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Link problems re postponement of screening of Bye Bye Shanghai
editJust a note to say I was having various problems just now with Wiki for some reason adding a / to the reference link for the postponement of the above screening, meaning an Error 404 message came up when it was clicked on. I tried various things but to no avail. However, it now seems to be behaving. I've no idea why, though, as I hadn't done anything differently to before. Cybersub (talk) 07:32, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- A HTTP 404 error is "page not found", so it was probably an issue with the site where the reference was hosted, which was later fixed. --Canley (talk) 22:46, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, Canley. It was bizarre - and frustrating! There wasn't a problem with the reference page (I kept checking and it was still there the whole time), but an extra oblique kept being added that only showed in the browser window and which caused the problem. And then, suddenly, it stopped adding it so it worked fine! (But at that point I was unable to leave an edit summary explaining this.) Hey ho. Anyway, all's well that ends well :) Cybersub (talk) 23:20, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
