The result of the move request was: Pages moved to XXX (film series) - there was consensus to shorten the current disambiguation, and a majority in favour of "film series" as disambiguator. — Amakuru (talk) 13:05, 17 October 2013 (UTC) (non-admin closure) Note: the move of Jane Doe was already carried out [1] by User:Fortdj33.
- Jane Doe (TV film series) → Jane Doe (TV series)
- Murder 101 (TV film series) → Murder 101 (TV series)
– Too precise; no other series of same name exists. George Ho (talk) 23:43, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment but it isn't a TV series, according to our article, its a series of TV films, which is not the same as a series of TV episodes -- 76.65.129.3 (talk) 05:10, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- McBride (TV series) is also the series of TV movies. The goal is less precision while maintaining accuracy. --George Ho (talk) 18:29, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
- Except that there are TV series that spawn telefilm series, and film series articles are called "(film series)" ; the equivalent film version of a TV series uses "(serial)" -- 76.65.129.3 (talk) 23:02, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

- Comment. I'd have said "(film series)" is the correct disambiguator in these cases. They are a series of films. The fact that they were made for TV is not particularly relevant unless additional disambiguation is required. --Rob Sinden (talk) 08:20, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with Rob. Under WP:NCF the correct disambiguator would be (film series). (TV series) is for episodic television, so it's not really applicable here. The medium itself isn't all that important for disambiguation purposes. Betty Logan (talk) 08:38, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- I also agree with Rob Sinden. The same should be for Women's Murder Club (TV series). I think this discussion should be moved to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television. --Musdan77 (talk) 19:38, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
- I think we're okay discussing here. We seem to be making a consensus. But by all means put a note up if there isn't one already. --Rob Sinden (talk) 20:09, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

- Support Jane Doe (film series) and Murder 101 (film series) as above. I suppose it depends on your definition, but I think of a TV film as a film that happens to be broadcast on TV, not a TV program that happens to be a film. However, I do think the proposed titles would be improvements over the awkward status quo. And McBride (TV series) should be moved to McBride (film series) if these alternatives are chosen. --BDD (talk) 18:52, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support Jane Doe (film series) and Murder 101 (film series) per Rob and BDD. --Article editor (talk) 22:26, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
