• " Hotchkiss 2.5-centimetre", later "were added for the 25 mm AA guns." If these are the same guns, perhaps the same units should be used?
• "After the Americans began attacking Japanese installations in the Bonin Islands on 10 October," New heading, so remind folks who skipped down from the ToC what year we're in.
• "but it did not attack the battleship, sinking the damaged Zuikaku and Zuihō." Do we need an "instead" before sinking here?
• "They arrived two days later and remained there until the 12th when they departed for" I believe we're talking about December now? Then you could remove "december" from the next sentence "The attack was cancelled on 30 December"
• Probably should mention "Cape Engaño" in teh body, rather than just image captions, if it merits mentioning by name in the lead.
• Nitpick: Ref 28 seems to be citing a single page, not pages.
