Name
editI have requested this to be renamed "Japanese conquest of Burma". The use of "capture" is not proper. Dapi89 (talk) 12:29, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Query regarding Thai involvement at Sittang
editCan anyone confirm that the Thai army was involved in the operations around the Sittang bridge as implied in the article? In my own research I have not found a reference to them having done so, although I admit that I don't know a lot about this subject and am relying almost solely upon Louis Allen's Burma: The Longest War 1941-45. Can anyone help resolve this? Cheers. AustralianRupert (talk) 23:19, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,

Moving a big chunk about retreat in from my sandbox
editI am almost done with a top-to-bottom rewrite of Bengal Famine of 1943 (here). Problem is, it's Yuge. I wanna take stuff about purple leeches etc. out and move it to this article. [In fact, I just now parachuted a chunk in]. If you have ideas about where and how to place it correctly, please do fix my clunky edits. Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 09:21, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Japanese conquest of Burma → Japanese invasion of Burma – Invasion is clearer than conquest which also carries potential WP:POV implications. Most importantly, it is also the form already used in other articles on the topic: Japanese invasion of Thailand and Japanese invasion of French Indochina as well as German invasion of Denmark (1940). —Brigade Piron (talk) 08:05, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
