Suggested Changes

edit

This article was broken out of the article titled Katana, so it currently only deals with the katana in fiction. Perhaps if someone is interested, they could add content about other types of swords in fiction, and then move this article to "Sword (Fiction)". More Wikipedia readers will search for "sword" than "katana". Since the Katana article links to "Katana (Fiction)", the links in that article would have to be updated to point to "Sword (Fiction)". That is a good long-term goal, but it will require quite a bit of work. Perhaps we should first address the issues brought up in the recent AfD, and then think about expanding the article to a broader topic and changing the title. Mermaid from the Baltic Sea 17:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Pfft... why should we? It scarcely conforms with WP:N and WP:NOT. -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 08:43, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

In the video game "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker", Ganondorf fights with a pair of long, single-edged swords. Since he is dressed in a manner reminiscent of a samurai, it seems that the swords were meant to be katana. Not sure if this is notable enough to be worth a mention, but he is the final boss of a well-selling game. 163.41.56.92 (talk) 16:38, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
