I have assessed this article as a Stub. The article needs references and biographical information - heritage, early years, education, etc. If the article can be furnished with a picture of the subject that would be greatly appreciated. --Ozgod (talk) 15:03, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: moved to Jason Lai. A horrible mess indeed but all now resolved, I think. — Malcolmxl5 (talk) 16:34, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Jason Lai → ? – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 18:20, 26 April 2016 (UTC) please restore the conductor Jason Lai to his page (I think I have done the talk page but the main article has been moved to San Francisco police.... Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 18:20, 26 April 2016 (UTC) PS. Given that Mr Lai is a living person, the current 're-direct' is particularly problematic... Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 20:36, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose: It looks as though you want Jason Lai's page restored as its own standalone article, yes? That would not pass WP:GNG as a standalone article. DaltonCastle (talk) 22:43, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
- as you can see here his article was not better nor worse than many minor musicians on Wikipedia : [1] . He has no connection with San Francisco police, and I would suggest that it would be better for someone who knows how should restore him, then if anyone is interested in querying his notability they open a discussion on this talk page about whether he is notable or not, rather than simply deleting his material into an inappropriate place. - Comment the redirect page should at the least be a hndab (fixed), not a redirect to the policeman, but I can find no trace of the Jason Lai conductor article. It still shows on Google as "Jason Lai (born 1974) is a British orchestral conductor. He was assistant conductor of the BBC Philharmonic from 2002 to 2005. At present he is the Associate..." - looks to me that he probably would pass WP:GNG, but where has it gone? No trace of an AFD discussion. What happened? - Comment' the conductor article is in the edit history at San Francisco Police Department scandal which was inexplicably changed to a redirect and then moved. older ≠ wiser 10:59, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- I would argue that this edit here: [2] breaks the living person rule of Wikipedia; maybe the article can be reverted from there? Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 12:03, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: Horrible mess confusing two men of same name: I've asked for urgent help at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#BLP_issue_-_urgent_repair_work_needed. PamD 16:05, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
