close connection?
edit@User:BoyTheKingCanDance: Hi.
a) I have never made any promotional/COI edits. I have made over 19K edits and created tons of new articles for random scientists, professor, people, companies (see my userpage). Why do you think I have a connection with the subject? Please remove that tag.
b) About the notability tag, please remove it. This is a notable person per wiki policy WP:NPROF #3. AAAS is the most prestigious association for fundamental sciences. He didn't just become member; he was elected a FELLOW!
c) Refs: As far as your removal of content goes, I cited 10 total refs of which 3 were from the school where they work (and it is about their listing in certain department). All others were 3rd party refs about either them winning an award or newspaper publications about their research. How are these "sources too closely associated with the subject"? If I get an award from some place am I too closely associated with the group??
d) Content: Why did you nuke entire Career section? I have sourced all content with refs. They are independent and reliable news and university sources. I see some sloppy reviewing work here. How do you remove thesis year as an unreferenced content? It is literally on the thesis (for which the url is given right there). Why remove website link?? It is common practice to list it for professors. You somehow left the EL at the end and removed website parameter in the Infobox.. Same thing with alma_mater: Please see their university website. Do professor lie on university website about their degrees? Unlikely I think. Why was the text about research removed? For example, "His research focuses on education in the life and earth sciences ...." was a perfectly valid way to explain their work. It wasn't copyvio nor it was invented material. Lede is supposed to be a summary of article and I had enough citations cited later in the article. I see that you aren't a WP:PRESERVE editor but this is all well supported and should be kept.
I would still like to assume good faith on your end and hoping for a swift reply. Thanks. Kiran_891 (TALK) 16:41, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Done. Let's both assume good faith of each other. If the sources aren't third-party sources and are pages on the subject's universitry website, I tend to remove them. If you disagree you can add them back. I don't edit war. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 16:48, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
