There is an inconsistency in the Bishop of Palestrina dates. Serra should be 1516 to 1517, according to the ext link. Now as far as I can see this issue goes back to the source (the biographies for Serra and Soderini on www.fiu.edu). This means it might possibly be resolved by some other source. Reading the fine print in the ext link, there is an issue going back to scholarly sources. I'd better NPOV this. There is just a disagreement on who got Palestrina July 1516. Charles Matthews 23:04, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

"i" between Catalan surnames

Catalan first and second surnames are sometimes linked by a lower-case i. English-language spelling correctors usually change this, thus rendering a higher-case I. That is not correct.

Also, on the first name, there is a point of coherence:

• If we use the Catalan i as the linking conjuntion, then the first name must be the Catalan one: Jaume
  
• If, on the other hand, we decide to use the Spanish y (not common in use apart from the nobility), then the first name must be the Spanish Jaime

Both choices (Jaume + i or Jaime + y) appear to me as equally legitimate. The only unacceptable cases would be a mixture of both: Jaime + i or Jaume + y. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andreas Balart (talk • contribs) 17:00, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

I suspect you know a lot more about Catalan/Spanish naming conventions than I do, and I'm happy to defer to that. The problem is that discussions of this sort effectively amount to original research - even if individual editors happen to be right about something, content here needs to be built on reliable real world sources. In this case, we simply need to check what is the most common form found in English-language sources. Of those currently cited in the article, the one external link, here, uses Jaime Serra i Cau. A quick Google search appears to suggest "Jaime" as more common, but there isn't a lot of online material that can be easily checked. I'm not sure it matters a huge amount though, and guess it's fine to leave the page where it is. I will though add the alternative to the text, while avoiding the "hybrid" version. --Nickhh (talk) 10:13, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm with you on this being an extremely minor issue, and agree on the solution you suggest.
