I am the CEO of Jaxsta and would like to share information with the group so that you can determine if there are changes that need to be made to this page as I consider that there are some pieces that are not true or needed for this page. I would very much appreciate your support and help in improving the accuracy of this page as one source of truth. BethAppleton (talk) 07:03, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@BethAppleton: Please be aware that Wikipedia values verifiability, not truth. Article content can only reflect what has already been published by reliable sources that are independent of the company itself. Editors may not add content solely because they believe it is true, nor delete content they believe to be untrue, unless they have verified beforehand with a reliable source.
{{speculation}} According to a 2018 report in The Sydney Morning Herald, "it wants to be a cross between Bloomberg and LinkedIn, a trusted source for the music industry when it comes to finding out who played what role on your favourite songs."
As we don't want to be a cross between Bloomberg and Linkedin. Ideally we should put a more recent quote/article as the link in the first paragraph.
Hi. I rewrote the opening section to remove the quote and give a clearer overview of what Jaxsta is. I think the whole page needs some rewriting but I'll leave that for someone else. Jimmyjrg (talk) 07:29, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi all
I don't believe I should suggest direct edits as I have declared my COI.
So instead, I am adding links below with further information and updates as input to ensure the data and information on this page is accurate and up to date.
I have outlined below elements that could be included and if I can assist in editorial please let me know.
I don't know if it is possible to use the data on the website for the numbers https://jaxsta.com/ See What is Jaxsta information
Jaxsta is the world's ONLY official music credits database. The credits are official because they're provided directly by more than 355 data partners, including record labels, publishers, distributors and industry associations – none of our data is crowd-sourced. With more than 100 million deep-linked pages and 330+ million music credits, Jaxsta is the solution to the music industry's metadata problem.
If not here is an article that sites the numbers at that time.
