Hope this is the correct place to make a note - the pictured Martello is the wrong one. The picture shows the Martello that functioned as a water tower for the Butlin's camp, and is in Clacton. The Article text/Citations etc. need to be reviewed and updated.
There is confusion caused by there being two Martello Towers located at Jaywick. One to the north, on the edge of the Golf course, which is Tower D [1]. And the second is in Jaywick: Martello Tower C Jaywick [2] which has been converted to an art center and appears to be the tower that is the subject of this article.
The article has combined information about both towers, and incorrectly states that the Jaywick Tower is Tower D, getting the location wrong, instating "In 1904, the tower was sold by the War Office and became part of a golf course." which is not the location of the Jaywick tower, but is the location of Tower D.
