The information on the ethnic and religious makeup of this district--primarily Shia with a large minority of Sunnis, but relatively few Wahhabis--is regularly removed by a vandal, whose preference is obviously for a Wahhabi or Sunni majority. Let it be so. One can falsify informative and vandalize Wiki, but the facts on the ground will survive. It is a sad thing to see even demographic information is not safe from prejudice and falsification. IzadyIzady (talk) 05:38, 11 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ordering some of the content

edit

I reordered some parts of the content. and put the "S.I. Bruk, Narody Peredney Azii (1960); S.I. Bruk, and V. S. Apenchenko, Atlas Narodov Mira (Moscow: Academy of Science, 1964) A. Gabriel, Religionsgeographie von Persien (Vienna, 1971)." under further reading title although I am not sure, they could be the very references of this article.--Wisamzaqoot (talk) 10:55, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

This set reference were to support the assertion that the district is basically a Shia district not Sunni. But of course, some one has already changed the information and put down the wrong (and bigoted) information down on the ethnography of Jazan. So there is no need for these sources, because these were useful for the truth and not the bigoted falsehood that is now on the main page of this article for the "demography"/"ethnography". Sad how a few narrow-minded bigots keep the truth even from the pages of an online encyclopedia.

Meanwhile, no one can understand what there is so much ethnic trouble in that part of Saudi Arabia today, if according to this misinformation that is tolerated by Wikipedia, the are is "totally or mostly" Sunni or Wahhabi!?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.244.22.233 (talk) 02:07, 18 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
