Untitled
editthere should be a note on angelus about Salvador Dali requesting an x-ray on the painting, which revealed that there was a child's coffin painted over as a basket afterwards
I came to this article intending to do just that, and just checked this page to make sure there wasn't a debate about it. Sloverlord 23:56, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Informative Article
editThere is very informative article on Millet at the following url: http://www.oldandsold.com/articles30/french-painting-11.shtml
Would like to consider it for an external link.
Let me know your thoughts? Smithville 01:59, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Henri Chapu
editWhy is there a list of works by Henri Chapu? He is not mentioned elsewhere in the article. A mistake? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Puzzlepadlock (talk • contribs) 14:26, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Sheepfold caption
editThe Sheepfold. In this painting by Millet, the waning Moon throws a mysterious light across the plain between the villages of Barbizon and Chailly
I’m not sure or clear why the word "mysterious" is used here. Moonlight isn’t so much mysterious as it is a type and quality of light. I would like to suggest replacing this word. Viriditas (talk) 03:40, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
Name Pronounciation
editCurrently the name is indicated as pronounced milɛ, which appears to be an acceptable variant, but as near as I can tell preferred would be mijɛ
I can't tell offhand if this has been thrashed out or not, and am loathe to wildly make the correction. I'll check back in a few days and make the change if it appears that nobody objects. If I get very ambitious I'll look up how to indicate the fact that there's options here. 71.227.220.254 (talk) 21:07, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
