How is it possible that Pierrot's biography does not mention one of the most important battles waged between Dominicans and Haitians in Santiago de los Caballeros? On March 30, 1845, Pierrot led an army of 15,000 soldiers who invaded Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic, with the aim of retaking the eastern part of the Island.
