Virtual Pool 3 featuring Jeanette Lee
editMs. Lee is featured in the last Virtual Pool game as a guide of some sort. Should this be added to her biography? Sth128 01:36, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒〈°⌊°〉 Contribs. 03:07, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- The fact that she was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 13 is a tad more germane to her bio in my own opinion. Bustter (talk) 12:27, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- And it's already in there. The fact that you're more interested in one fact doesn't mean that all other facts should be ignored. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒〈°⌊°〉 Contribs. 03:07, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
John Kang
editIn a television interview: NYC TV Profiles with host Mickey Burns, she said her family recently adopted John Kang, a 15 year old young man. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.242.222 (talk) 02:29, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- This is also mentioned in the source immediately below. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒〈°⌊°〉 Contribs. 03:07, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Interview
editI removed the following from the article, per WP:EL:
To see footage of Lee, follow this link to ''On Inside POOL Xtreme Pressbox''<ref>{{citation|Jeanette Lee|url=http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1043241/billiards_jeanette_lee_on_inside_pool_xtreme_pressbox/}}</ref>
This interview can actually be used to source a large number of facts, however, and should be. The proper way to cite it from the original site (and there's a even a template for citing the InsidePool site):

Reference to her nickname
editThe section of the article referring to how she got her "Black Widow" nickname has a reference link called "Reference to her nickname," but when you click that link it takes you to a tv.com page for the TV show "American Chopper." Whether or not the origin of her nickname was explained on the Chopper show can't be ascertained from this.
Here are a couple of alternative links where she explains how she got the nickname:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTdFMYVP-UI This is a YouTube video of Lee on the Donny & Marie talk Show in 1998. The following exchange takes place:
Donny: "Where did you get that nickname?"
Jeanette: "Well, some guys at the poolroom named me that because I was always dressing in black and they say I'm deadly at the table, so it stuck -- I couldn't get rid of it. My mom hated it."
http://www.voice-tribune.com/columns/conversations-with-lori-kommor/shooting-for-derby/ This is an April 26, 2012 interview with Lee in The Voice-Tribune. The interview is titled "Shooting For Derby" and was conducted by Lori Kommor:
Lori: "How did you acquire the name the Black Widow?"
Jeanette: "A room owner named Gabe Vigorito called me that because he said I lured my opponents to the table and then ate them alive. It was funny at the time but it stuck like glue! I guess the name fits!"
I'll let others decide if they'd like to replace the "tv.com/American Chopper" link with one of the above. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.197.161.179 (talk) 18:24, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
