Overall

This article was very short and not very informative until recently. Immelt has been at the head of GE for over a decade as of 2015. Look at the article for his predecessor at GE Jack Welch. While the article on Immelt does not need to be as long it can be improved and made more informative, in the style of the Welch article as Immelt will always be compared to Welch. Also the article as I found it in mid July had a bit of an anti-Immelt tone to it with a political tint, some might say from a series of Democrat writers. Objectivity and completeness is a better goal. Like Welch before him, because he is taking on a major responsibility in this economy Immelt has both positive and negative news associated with him and both can be reported objectively. See for example the comment below on the use of data in the article. 96.224.65.164 (talk) 19:36, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

Information Box

The original shorter article was principally a statement about one of Immelt's short term Public Service role in a Presidential Council that has since been ended. The Information Box presented only his role in the defunct Council, no information about his role at GE which is Immel't major occupation and purpose and so presented as a political article, rather than factual. The Information Box is edited to reflect reality. The role in the Defunct Council is detailed in the article and in the Succession Boxes below at the end of the article. 96.224.66.19 (talk) 12:40, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

GE and MSNBC's Shift to the Left

This article should add a discussion of the decision to tilt MSNBC clearly toward the political Left. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.44.153.18 (talk) 04:33, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
