park razed to build I-480?
editThere had to be some other reason for it, because if it was between Farnam and Douglas, and between 15th and 16th, that's not close to 480 to have the interstate be the cause of its destruction. 480 is north of Dodge, and Douglas and Farnam are south of Dodge. - The error was all mine. I have identified several new sources, all of which agree it was located smack dab in the middle of I-480, between North 15th, 16th, Chicago and Cass Streets. It seems the park was always the aim of re-purposing by city leaders: first a schoolhouse, then a library, then a market, then public baths... so its destruction by the hand of the Interstate construction gods appears inevitable! • Freechild'sup? 11:06, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
