Problems with references make verification impossible
editSome references do not provide enough details to locate the publication. For example:
<ref>Arthur Hall Smith (1929-2013) Professor of Painting at The George Washington University 1974-1997.</ref>
This provides the reader with a note about Arthur Smith but does not help verify that he was one of Lynn's influences. For that we need a citation to a publication that says Arthur Smith influenced Lynn.
Others are not citations of published works at all. For example: a letter can be used in a reference if it is contained in a publication. An un-published letter is of no value for verification because the reader has no way to access it. Gab4gab (talk) 00:00, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Is this biography notable enough for Wikipedia?
editThis biography does not seem notable enough for inclusion as an article in Wikipedia. Do other editors feel the same way or differently? Raptornorman (talk) 20:18, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
