There are several period sources (e.g. United States Criminal Calendar, The life of Jeroboam O. B., The Confession of Jeroboam O. B., United States Criminal History) that spell him Jeroboam which actually makes more sense to me (don't compare the google hits, there are too many copies of this WP article). This should at least be mentioned in the article intro. --Hodsha (talk) 19:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I understand that Beauchamp is the protagonist and murderer of Sharp, but there seems to be extensive overlap with the main article on Beauchamp-Sharp Tragedy. I thought that when there is such a detailed main article, others that refer to it are supposed to summarize their material related to it; for instance, to use the Lead as the summary for the secondary article. The details of the imprisonment, attempted suicides, trial and execution are all provided in the Tragedy article, for instance. There should be more differentiation between them, or there is not much reason for a separate article on Beauchamp. He does not have much life outside the Tragedy. Well, yeah, considering he died at 23, there wouldn't be much else. I guess you could propose a merge or take it to AFD. I don't really see the overlap as much of a problem. Considering that this article is both a GA and part of a featured topic, at least some other folks didn't think so either. Acdixon(talk·contribs)16:29, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
