Ward's death was the impetus for Mars Volta members Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez to quit using narcotics.
That's not very precise. Did they quit using opioids or cocaine (actual meaning of narcotics) or any kind of drugs like nicotine, cannabis, etc (often narcotics is also used for those drugs)? Narcotics is a term that's been used very inaccurately and should be avoided in an Encyclopedia.
