You Bet Your Life

edit

Jerry Fielding contributed to the book "The Secret Word is Groucho" (Groucho Marx/Hector Arce) a book about Groucho's quiz show. He tells how he was forced off the quiz show as bandleader due to the 50's Red Scare of the time (he was mentioned in the book "Red Channels"). Groucho sucummed to sponser's pressure to his regret. He apolgised to Fielding in the aforementioned book but was too overcome by shame to tell Fielding in person. See Hector Arce biography "Groucho". Emmy was a win

edit

I don't know how to edit the awards table. Could someone fix the Emmy portion? Fielding won the Emmy posthumously and the table now shows him as only being nominated.

Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidatwikip (talkcontribs) 19:29, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Contradiction

edit

One section claims he had dropped his birth name in favor of his pseudonym "no later than" 1930. Two sections later, it's claimed he dropped the birth name and adopted his pseudonym in 1947. Cannot both be true. Unless someone can determine WHICH claim is accurate, either both claims must be merged and commentary added emphasizing the contradiction, or both claims must be removed from the article until a reliable source can be found to explain or eliminate the contradiction. 2601:141:8101:BC10:6451:AE46:8661:1188 (talk) 03:11, 16 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
