editWould anybody care to cite a source for this interview so people may judge it's legibility? i am a fan of brand new and this article describes lacey very well.
Nolan/Lacey
editNot sure on the details of the Nolan/Lacey Seventy Times 7/No I In Team thing. Possibly should be removed? Or at least noted that the whole ordeal is mostly rumour-based.

uhh yeah your an idiot.. go look for it and you'll find its not
- It's all rumor based. There was a conflict but they never said it was for what the common story is.
---Although there is no actual statement saying that is what happened, because as musicians, they wouldnt release something like that. But this has been what was considered what happened for years. Look it up, its there.
- But if you listen to the background of part of "There's No I in Team" you can hear the chorus of "Seventy times 7".
- Somebody switched all the references of John Nolan to Adam Lazzarra. There is no proof of a significant relationship between Lacey and Lazzara. I switched them back and deleted the poorly written section abou the TBS/BN fued, as it's all speculation and not professional information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.128.231.11 (talk) 13:26, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
The New Album
editcan anyone confirm that the new Brand New album is called The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me? If not, it should be removed as an album of his. -Rhymingisfun 00:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Their record company have released a press release with the title of the album. I'm confident enough it's true Halo 12:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Kevin Devine
editJesse is on two other tracks on the record besides Cotton Crush. I added them to the bottom of the wiki.
no sources at all
editcan someone please find some sources for these things?
some of these claims are big. ie: claiming john was sleeping with jesse's girlfriend?
i mean come on, we're not preteen girls.. and if you shouldn't be writing a biographical entry on a celebrity.
also.. why don't we just put, in big bold letters,"he's so dreamy"
cant this be written a bit better?
Fashion
editI removed the following from the article:
As much as Lacey has contributed to music culture, his influence has ramified notably to other facets of the collective social scene - notably in fashion. Lacey's propensity towards sporting white, v-necked t-shirts marks his most considerable contribution to shaping the changing face of fashion associated with his style of music.
Because it's unreferenced, and it sounds silly to say that he invented wearing white V-necked shirts.
The Rookie Lot
editKinda strange that a biography of Jesse Lacey have no mention of the demos and record releases from his eariliest known band, The rookie lot. This should be added in, in my opinion.
No I in Team
editThere are also many videos on youtube where Jesse is singing No I in Team, a song formerly against him. Should this be considered into editing into the biography?
The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot
editthe story about his dad has no source and sounds totally made up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sayler (talk • contribs) 03:03, August 20, 2007 (UTC).
I have heard him tell the story about his dad live twice. He spoke to the title being about him playing basketball and "blocking his own shot". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.249.218.125 (talk) 02:41, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
It is not acceptable to say that "he has been heard saying" or "one time he told audience members" unless you can cite these references either in a publicly accessible magazine article or a recording (though original content is not allowed on Wikipedia). Beliefs/Creed
editSo, is Jesse Lacey a Christian? I've noticed he alludes a lot to Christian things, like in the song "The Archer's bows have broken"; references the bibles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.75.189.57 (talk) 21:05, 23 September 2007 (UTC) He does make multiple references in his music to a religious background. It has made me wonder what kind of church experience he had because he clearly knows the Gospel and I would really like to contact him about it.
Citations
edit"He could be considered an embodiment of the uniquely sincere sound with which the Long Island music scene has been accredited over the past decade." He could, if there was a source to back it up and not just some star-struck fan's opinion. First, establish he embodies the Long island music scene. Then establish where Long Island music scene gets its "uniquely sincere sound" label. Finally, just what the heck is "uniquely sincere" anyway? Subjective much?129.2.231.243 (talk) 20:53, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sourcing aside, the term "genuinely unique" could be describing the empathetic tone of the majority of thier songs and how Jesse has a strong connection with his fan base. That's my take. Kennykane (talk) 01:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Awkward phrasing
editI changed some of the sentences around to make more sense. I also added a quote from an interview with Lacey about why he doesn't do many interviews. It's very hard to find biographical information and interviews with Lacey.
