Wikipedia is a great resource, but has some very eccentric contributors. On several occasions I have tried to deal with the entirely false story here that Jessie Saxby was a suffragette. The source given is an impressionistic short encyclopedia article. Philip Snow's new biography of Saxby shows that the story is rubbish. But my contributor doesn't just delete what I have to say about the suffragette myth; he or she deletes my reference to Snow's book!
