Cause of suppression

Eves is good in reporting mathematical anecdotes but not always good in making sure they are based in fact. His report on the order's suppression seems apocryphal and possibly fabricated by the order's enemies. Does anyone have accurate information on this? Tkuvho (talk) 08:37, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
