I have re-written the History section in an attempt to make it factual and neutral, and remove unnecessary statements or information. I will leave the neutrality tag on the page until everyone is happy that this resolves the issue with the article. Good work SV reads a lot better - I have done a few tweaks. Just a note about the inclusion of Jet2holidays.Com, I suspect that Jet2holidays Limited is part of the Dart Group and not a subsidary of the airline. Thanks MO, I have also tweaked the wording for Jet2holidays.com as I think you are right - it is almost certainly a Dart Group company not a subsidiary of Jet2.com. Fleet

The fleet page was updated by myself several weeks ago to show a detailed listing of the 50 aircraft that Jet2.com currently operate and while I understand your points over the A320 I removed that and left the rest. All 50 planes are owned outright by the company and up to date as of the planespotters website and airliner world magazine. They Operate 11 B757-200, 8 B737-800, 2 737-300WL, 1 B737-300F (Not QC), 8 B737-300QC and 22 B737-300 aircraft. I listed these to show exactly what they operate and someone keeps removing them going on about not allowing leased Aircraft. THEY ARE NOT LEASED (Except the A320 that I removed.) I also added in about the planes they have operated in the past and while some were leased I really cannot see the harm in listing them because they are part of the history of the company and are really not doing any real harm. I am sure if you look at all the other airline pages on Wikipedia they are not accurate but there is no huge out cry about it. I also think that locking up the page and calling it "vandalism" is rather over the top, when I am merely trying to make it more accurate.

Thanks for the comment, the page was not protected because of vandalism but because of the edit warring, the fleet changes had been added and removed by different editors and IP addresses a situation which couldnt really go on without discussion. The main reference for British airline fleets is the CAA G-INFO site as planespotters and the like is not really a reliable source. And the edits made did not agree with that reference hence they were reverted. Just a quick summary:
  • 11 x B757-200 this is per G-INFO so OK
  • 8 x B737-800 G-INFO only list seven aircraft registered which is why the eight was challenged.
  • 22 x B737-200 G-INFO has 31 Boeing B737-300s
  • 1 x B737-300F this is one of the 31 listed by the CAA but they dont note which one is a freighter.
  • 2 x B737-300WL having winglets is not really notable and doesnt appear in the official register
  • 8 x B737-300QC again probably some of the 31 listed by the CAA.

Now we can use other reliable references other than the CAA like airliner world magazine for the different 737s variants, but that said the total of Boeing 737-300s doesnt add up. (The CAA have G-CELA, LB, LC, LD, LE, LF, LG, LH, LI, LJ, LK, LO, LP, LR, LS, LU, LV, LW, LX, LY, LZ, GDFB, FE, FG, FH, FK, FL, FM, FN, FO, FT). We all want to make the fleet list as accurate as possible but it doesnt have to be that up todate what it needs is to be reliable referenced on a given date. I am pretty sure if you change the fleet lists on other airline articles without providing a reliable reference it will be reverted by the editors that watch these articles. So lets see if we can sort this out, why does the CAA only list seven 800s, why dont the 300s add up and we need a reliable reference for the sub-variants, thanks. Thank you for your response and I follow what you are saying and appreciate your clarification. B757s are fine and as for the B737-300s 31 total is correct.(as per the list you mentioned) The airline operate cargo flights by night for the Royal Mail Service out of several UK airports using 7 Cargo planes of which one is Cargo only (G-CELW, It also carries the Channel Express Livery which was the airlines former name. It does not operate any pax flights) That is why I created a "Cargo Fleet" section. There are then 6 (Sorry I typed 8 by mistake earlier)B737-300QC and then 24 B737-300s (2 have WL, I know you said we can't differentiate over those so its 24)and then they have 7 B737-800s fully owned by them and then 1 other (OK-TSA) on long term lease from Travel service but it is fully operated by Jet2 pilots and cabin crew so I listed that as 8. Then as for the "Historical Fleet" they Owned 6 A300s and leased 2 B737-400s, 1 B737-200 and 1 BAe 146-300, now I know they were leased but I saw no harm in listing them as it is part of the airlines history and can't see that it would cause that many problems just to list them as "Historical" .

So to Recap. 1. 11 B757-200s 2. 24 B737-300s 3. 06 B737-300QC 4. 01 B737-300F 5. 08 B737-800s Total: 50

Ok what we need is a reference for the 6 x 300QC and 1 300F, if you have the airliner world magazine that mentions them then you need enough information to fill in a Template:Cite Journal like date, title, page number and issn number. As for OK-TSA British airlines need approval to operate foreign aircraft on an Air Operators Certificate and these are announced by the CAA at http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=213&pagetype=68&gid=323 - I can not see any reference to JET2s use of OK-TSA so it doesnt appear to be officially operated by Jet2 only leased. I don't really understand all the citation stuff...but surly all people have to do is go on airliners.net and type G-CELW in to see that it is clearly a 737-300F and also if you go to http://www.dartgroup.co.uk/jet2charters/ it says in the 1st paragraph 1 737-300F and 8 737-300QC (I was right originally) How much more evidence do we need than the airline its self saying what cargo planes it has. 31 737-300s total. 1 737-300F 8 737-300QC and 22 B737-300s and I know that they are expanding their fleet even more during the winter period. As for the 737-800 you appear to be correct, that was an oversight on my part. 7 is correct.

Thanks for that, citation stuff is just adding a reference to any facts you add so people know where it came from, the company website is a good source but just looking at an image on airliners.net is not reliable. Refill doesn't work

I have tried to fix the bare URLs error by using the Refill tool, however, it failed to replace the URLs with proper citations, as shown here: https://refill.toolforge.org/ng/result/fixWikipage/7847d9b2-fdd6-4912-ace2-c897a442626c.
