American Codeshare

edit

JetBlue's participation in a codeshare with American is ending on 7/20/2023 per an email I received from JetBlue 2607:FB91:D1F:8A4A:AC39:9931:E32C:86BF (talk) 11:53, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Use of camel case in JetBlue

edit

Hi, team. I noticed that this page was moved from "JetBlue" to "jetBlue".

From my understanding of Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks, while we do use camel case in certain situations for letters in the middle of a trademarked name, we generally do not use it to for the first letter, which is still left capitalized. The only exception is for cases where only the second letter is capitalized (e.g., iPhone), which does not apply here. See MOS:TMLOWER.

Further, in both secondary sources (newspapers, etc.) and JetBlue's own Form 10-K, "JetBlue" is used with a capital J. I suggest moving the page back. Precision123 (talk) 21:00, 11 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Strictly speaking, the page wasn't moved—article titles can't begin with a lowercase letter—but I agree with you and have removed {{lowercase title}} to restore the previous capitalization. Conifer (talk) 08:40, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Focus cities versus operating bases

edit

I noticed that an edit changed the infobox from listing JetBlue's "focus cities" to listing its "operating bases." I am not stating an opinion about this but wanted to point it out for clarity. For the record, JetBlue refers to them as "focus cities." However, its classification of Los Angeles as such may now be shaky, given the recent route cuts there. Was there another reason for this edit that I am not aware of? Thank you. Precision123 (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
