editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Brianhe (talk) 18:11, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
VisualEditor
editThank you so much for trying out the new VisualEditor! The transition can be a little challenging to those of us who know something about Wiki markup already. :) If you insert some of the familiar Wikimarkup code (like [[]] or {{}}), the VisualEditor thinks you are trying to type these things and puts "<nowiki>" tags around it. To actually achieve the same effects, you just need to use the link, template and other icons in the VisualEditor itself. (For more detail, please see Wikipedia:VisualEditor/User guide and the Wikipedia:VisualEditor/FAQ.)
If you have feedback about your experience or encounter anything that looks like a bug, please let us know at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thanks! --Maggie Dennis (WMF) (talk) 14:41, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Justin Bieber RfC: second survey
editHi Precision123, thank you for your contribution to the RfC on Justin Bieber's behaviour and legal issues. Some users have posted that the RfC is currently a mess, and that we need to be very explicit in what we agree to include and what we don't. As such, I have created a second survey, which cuts the content into points. Could you take the time to post your opinion on each point, whether you think it should be included or not, or summarized, or changed. It will be a bit tedious but we need your detailed input to move forward. Thanks again. starship.paint (talk | ctrb) 05:50, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Chardal Move
editHi, I see that you moved Chardal to Hardal. I think you made an error with that move. The lead makes clear that Chardal is the primary term not Hardal and the page was properly at Chardal for quite some time. I'm not sure of your edit summary since you can move a page without using the talk page, as you just did. I suggest you move it back since that is the proper terminology as the page noted (or did note until you changed it.) Sir Joseph (talk) 22:35, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Please use them. I have a lot of articles on my watchlist and having an edit summary really helps. MB 21:41, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

Neighborhoods in Los Angeles
editThere is a conversation going on that I hope you have time to be a part of....
it is here: [1] The question is about the names of different regions of Los Angeles that Could be used to organize the individual neighborhoods under. - Thanks for commenting. User Beland is suggesting that we use the LA mapping neighborhoods in the grid -- nesting Baldwin Hills into Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw and Melrose Hill into East Hollywood (even though Melrose Hill is not within the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council [1], which is the map that google maps uses (https://ibb.co/mSqkcgr).) If you have any thoughts on this, please continue to comment. Yours, Phatblackmama (talk) 23:19, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Conflicting information
edithello. I have tried to follow your Century City format when City data conflicts with Mapping LA. I added city designated boundaries to Vermont Vista and Manchester Square...if you have a moment and can look them over, I would appreciate your POV - it gets awkward when schools and parks lie outside of the City designated area but within the Mapping LA area. Global Disinformation Index moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Global Disinformation Index, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. editHello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! DoctorMatt (talk) 20:40, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
