Date of Birth

I'm fairly confident of Jet's date of birth, but it is notoriously hard to cite accurately. Can anyone help please? TomGreen 21:42, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

This says 1938, i've got lots saying 1948 and a couple saying 1958, which is almost certainly not true. We know it ends in an 8, but that's probably the best we can do. Universal Cereal Bus ♫♪ 19:53, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

The band have said in interviews that he is of certain age and they're all consistent with 1938. This is incredibly difficult to 100% reliably source though. Tom Green (talk)

Petition

No it isn't. Anybody can start a petition about virtually anything on the No. 10 website, and there are probably enough people willing to sign anything to ensure 200 signatures. In truth, this was a vanity edit made by the person who started the petition and probably designed to draw attention to it - so in breach of WP: COI. I am going to revert the edit again. If you are unhappy with this, you are welcome to ask for the intervention of a third party, but don't revert it yourself. Egdirf (talk) 09:43, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Too much about Jet's health problems, perhaps?

It strikes me that the bulk of this entry is about his failing health, as if this is what he is mostly known for. Jet Black was born before WW2 - should we perhaps reduce the account of his decline, and increase the story on his life before, say 2015? As a lifelong fan, and owner of several rare 'Strangled' magazine issues, I will see what I can come up with. Demobbed Teen (talk) 14:01, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
