New references may help other editors, promotional language trimmed.

edit

This article appears, upon careful research, to be about a genuinely notable person -- as required by Wikipedia standards. However, the original article was very poorly sourced, with only a handful of (often primary) sources. I've attempted, over the last 12 hours, to overhaul this article with appropriate and proper reference citations, as well as a limited amount of information added from them. Hopefully, these numerous additional references (most from regionally prominent magazines or newspapers, or from major organizations issuing awards) will provide fellow editors with better sources to document and expand this article further.

I've also trmmed much of the promotional language. Hopefully, future editors will trim more of that material -- hardly necessary to convey the significance of this notable individual.
