Appropriateness of using the title "Professor"
editI am highly doubtful that it is appropriate to use the title professor as it is an honorary fellowship. I have wiki'ed other holders of the same honorary fellowship and their names do not display this title. I have removed the title "Professor". Momolee 11:51, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- In the exact same context, someone has added a (Malaysian) honorific at the beginning of the article. This seems way out of place as every other name I have checked starts simply with the person's name. e.g., Rama X of Thailand, Desmond Tutu of South Africa, Tunku Abdul Rahman the first Malaysian prime minister. Is there a style guide for Wikipedia that can be applied? 24.224.227.214 (talk) 16:12, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
Remove disambig
editBoth links point to the same article, Jimmy Choo (designer). Replace this disambig with the contents of this article. (I would do it myself but that might be *too* "bold in editing".)
Copyvio
editThe page is largely a copyright violation of The Jimmy Choo web site so I have removed most of it, and put in a brief version. -- Fuzheado | Talk 01:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Move this to Jimmy Choo
editSomeone with "move" rights, please move this to Jimmy Choo. That page is currently just a disambiguation page with both links pointing to this one. Rather silly, what? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.193.162.115 (talk) 18:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC).
Something has gone wrong
editThere are two separate things. One is Jimmy Choo, the man. Two, is Jimmy Choo Shoes, the company. Jimmy Choo, the man, has not been with the company for quite some time. The company is headed by Tamara Mellon. So we need 3 articles. One for Jimmy the man, one for the company, and one for Tamara. Currently we have one each for the two people, but the company got lost!--Jimbo Wales 09:49, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Jimmy Choo the man has nothing to do with Jimmy Choo the company. This article is prime example of what is wrong with Wikipedia. No one is minding store.

Jimmy Choo's age?
editJust wondering. I looked up the page on his son Danny Choo, whose birth year is written as 1972, while Jimmy Choo's birth year is cited as 1961. I think it is very, very unlikely that Jimmy Choo fathered a son at the age of 11. Nor was Jimmy Choo even in London then for his son to be born. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.76.180.129 (talk) 01:10, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering the same thing. I found reputable sites confirming those birth years. Danny Choo's website says he was born in 197. However, Jimmy Choo's myspace website states that he is 60 years old, which makes him for in 1948. I went ahead and changed his birth year to 1948. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=204849391 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.165.126.104 (talk) 03:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Citizenship?
editThe career section states he is a Malaysian citizen, yet there are British categories present; there is no mention of him changing citizenship or gaining dual. Does he currently hold Malaysian citizenship, British, or both? Nietzsche 2 (talk) 04:45, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
