References to CERN experiment

edit

I have removed a flippant "it looks that he was right" for the following reasons: 1) no references to today's announcement from CERN 2) no evidence that the fenomenon verified at CERN has to do with Magueijo's theory (even though I personally would be glad if this were shown to be the case) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.56.163.222 (talk) 12:08, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reworded

edit

Reworded the comments about his book (first section) - seemed to contain too much personal opinion. 141.35.111.109 14:55, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Deleted this badly worded "Let's add a rebutal to this theory of light as not a constant. First a contradiction, if light at the moment of the Big Bang was faster than it is now, would not the light we see now be in fact the light from the moment of the big bang. Would we ever see the light after the Big Bang? That contradicts the observation made by Nobel Prize winner George Smoot, he in facts has seen the light fromm 300,000 years after the Big Bang." which was stuck in the biography section. -User:Praguestepcihld, 22 January 2006

Inflation is main stream

edit

Twice now the phrase more mainstream (before "theory of cosmic inflation") has been deleted without explanation or edit summary. As far as I know this is considered the mainstream theory and the cosmic inflation article says that it is now considered part of the standard hot big bang model. The person making this change should explain why it is necessary. Belief that the mainstream theory is wrong is not good reason to change the encyclopedia. That happens when mainstream scientific opinion changes. SpinningSpark 12:38, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

variable speed of light

edit

... has previously been analysed by Jean-Pierre petit in Modern Physics Letters A in 1988-1989.

I think this correction should be noted in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.103.41.50 (talk) 17:25, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
