editI was just watching the 2008 film Valkyrie, and von Kortzfleisch is portrayed there as having the Pour le Mérite. Is this true? --ExarPalantas (talk) 04:43, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- I would have to view the film again or find a still to see what the actor actually wore, but Kortzfleisch, like many members of the Protestant nobility, was a member of the Johanniterorden (Order of St. John). The neck cross of that order resembles the Pour le Mérite.

editWhat was he doing between 1940 and 1944? He was a relatively young general at 50 in 1940. The infobox photo was taken (at a front or on a manouevre?) during that apparently blank period of his career, which covered most of the war.Cloptonson (talk) 05:05, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- He was placed in the Führerreserve in June 1942. He briefly led the XXXXIII. Armeekorps while still in the Führerreserve, and in February 1943 was named deputy commanding general of the III. Armeekorps / commander of Wehrkreis III. He remained there until January 1945.
