needing clarification
editThe sentence beginning 'His steel guitar playing contemporaries' has been marked as 'needing clarification'. I don't understand what could be unclear about the sentence. I would expect it's vocabulary and structure to be in common use by an average reader. Please could someone advise me. Thanks! პ (talk) 17:20, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, just, why are we talking about these other guys in Murphey's article? It might make more sense to say 'XYZ magazine compared Murphey's playing to ABC and DEF'[1] if that's what is meant. Hope this helps. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:33, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks Chiswick Chap, that makes sense. Maybe there is no need to refer to those guys. I just wanted to give context and set the scene as people write that Murphey helped to pioneer this new sound alongside those guys, and they would have known of each other and been listening to each other, (competing a bit too I should think). Also to help wikipedia readers find out who else was playing at that time. I guess I should find a good quote to reference. I noticed that someone wrote a previous article on Joaquin and it was taken down for breach of copyright, so I'm a bit wary of quoting too much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by პ (talk • contribs) 18:39, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
