deletion
this should not be deleted, he is a new actor and should be heard and seen by people who want to know more. 41.177.125.226 (talk) 17:14, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Who exactly thought that this needed deletion and... why? FFHK3579 (talk) 20:12, 4 May 2022 (UTC)

Promotion
Incredible how through Twitter they promoted to save the article. But hey, you see how things are. The same thing is currently happening with Yasmin Finney . Bradford (Talk) 04:53, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- I wouldn't be surprised if it happens tbh, but why am I not seeing any tweets abt it? all I'm seeing when I searched for "joe locke wikipedia" on twitter is like two tweets with very few (if any) likes abt the AfD discussion Thariqziyad (talk) 20:57, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Heartstoppers is like the most talked-about show on Netflix right now. Locke absolutely has media "notability" Mark RaceFan (talk) 20:09, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
@Thariqziyad: Here (where it is seen that the Wikimedia LGBT account supported the situation. Since it was the only account that retweeted the tweet.) and here. I do not know if there was a secret plan, but it seems very strange to me that dormant accounts and users with few editions participated in this. Bradford (Talk) 08:17, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
Joe being gay
I have read the citation for this, but it wasn't really clear to me that he actually said that he was gay. EddyZacianLand (talk) 18:03, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- The source ([1]) clearly refers to Joe as "a young gay man." I can't see any way they would publish that if he hadn't explicitly told the interviewer he was gay. Aerin17 (t • c) 19:09, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- I am just not sure of the legitimaticly of the source as Joe hasn't mentioned it anywhere else, so it marks it a bit strange that only place would have it. EddyZacianLand (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- I went looking through a bunch of other interviews, and you're right, it isn't mentioned in too many places. Maybe odd, but maybe that's just because it wasn't the focus of the interviews. They generally talk about the experience of filming, not the actors' personal lives. I did find one other: "...and growing up gay, he says, wasn’t too big a deal at school" ([2]). I will say again- I can't see why an interviewer would specifically label Joe if he hadn't explicitly said he was gay. Aerin17 (t • c) 20:08, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- That's true, I just know how sensitive they are around that area and I just want to make sure it's factually accurate and especially not outing him. EddyZacianLand (talk) 20:19, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- I understand completely, but I still don't see any reason to doubt the factual accuracy of this statement; and given that it was published in more than one interview and he's very open about being a role model to young queer people, I don't see any indication Joe is not comfortable with his sexuality being public. Here you have Joe saying it by himself. 7szz (talk) 08:37, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
