Should this be merged with the article on Lew Fields? Both articles talk about their act, but they have different content. Morfusmax (talk) 17:45, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
Yes. See the reasons at Talk:Weber and Fields. David Spector (talk) 14:12, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Proposed merge with Lew Fields

- To not merge given that there is opposition and no support. Klbrain (talk) 15:38, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
See Talk:Weber and Fields: both individuals should be merged into one article called Weber and Fields (each redirected as {{R to joint biography}}): these two individuals have almost zero independent notability, and the two biographies are essentially identical aside from non-notable trivia of birth dates, etc. WP:OVERLAP explains why they should be merged. Both the Encyclopedia Britannica and Columbia Encyclopedia treat them as a duo. Their discography is shared. One comprehensive article is better than two largely redundant articles. --Animalparty! - While there is quite a bit of overlap, they split up in 1904 and didn't get back together again until 1923. During that period Fields produced shows and seems to have starred in films. I'm not saying a comined article couldn't work, but Fields did have a substantial career on his own. FloridaArmy (talk) 21:21, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- There is nothing whatsoever prohibiting discussing solo activities in a Comprehensive joint biography. Is there a significant body of scholarly or jouralistic literature discussing the individual careers, or just passing news blips saying X and Y occurred after the famous duo broke up? --Animalparty! - I agree with FloridaArmy, they had separate careers for a long time, so two articles seem justified to me. --Maarten1963 (talk) 15:36, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
