Vandalism/unsourced information

edit

Right now it says he plays for Liverpool, edit a few minutes ago stated Arsenal. The newspaper The Guardian says he is CLOSING IN on a deal with Arsenal.

This means he hasn't signed yet, also since neither Liverpool OR Arsenal have confirmed anything of such. Aediasse (talk) 19:24, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I completely agree. I added info stating that he is no longer signing for EITHER club. Please don't add other info until he actually DOES complete a transfer. Alborzb (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:44, 21 July 2011 (UTC).Reply

Misconduct section

edit

Is is worthy to make a section about that dive? I mean he's not the only player in the world that had "misconduct problems", though I don't see any related sections in every single article.

--AndSalx95 (talk) 21:35, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I deleted that section, as nobody answered me. I searched the articles of Sergio Busquets and Neymar, both players are known for showing some misconduct problems. Busquets doesn't have a section for this (even he's known for faking [1] [2]). Neymar does have a little line regarding his misconduct problems (basically, it's about Pelé regarding him), but still there's not a section.

The FIFA investigation is the only thing that makes me think if the section should really be restored.

Maybe just integrate it into the international section, rather than having its own heading? An official FIFA reprimand for unsportsmanlike behavior seems to be rare, since most players don't behave this way when wearing their national team kit. It's quite clear this incident is distinct from Neymar's habit of going down if someone breathes in his vicinity while he's handling the ball. If you can demonstrate that official FIFA action isn't rare in such cases, it might be justifiable to remove this info. Rivaldo's dive, which also earned official FIFA condemnation, is covered in about the same detail even though Rivaldo is a more notable player with a long career. This dive is really the only thing Joel Campbell is known for, so it seems very odd to not have it covered. I've restored it for now. Csba22 (talk) 12:26, 15 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
"This dive is really the only thing Joel Campbell is known for" Fake. With all due respect, it is blatantly fake. In my opinion, it is all about the US media making an extensive (and sort of dramatic, too) coverage of this "dive". That doesn't make Campbell "the only thing he is known for".
