Cold turkey

edit

You've removed "91.4% of U.S. adult quitters used it" from the section on Cold turkey. Why was this removed? -SusanLesch (talk) 18:25, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I was trying to edit it, but then realized it wasn't clear. Used what? Perhaps you mean "According to research, 91.4% of U.S. adults quit smoking cold turkey"? But that is a sentence of its own; it's confusing to insert it into Spitzer's viewpoint. Also, a statistic like this needs a third-party reference. Yoninah (talk) 07:30, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nobel Prize

edit

Joel deserves one in Medicine. I'm serious; through decades of tireless effort he has extended the lives of countless individuals and helped them gain freedom from the world's crummiest drug. Makes more sense that giving Kissinger(???) or Obama a peace prize.

I agree with the statement of the poster above. I did quit smoking because of Joel Spitzer and I am a serious advocate of his teachings. You quit cold turkey or you never quit. This needs to be hammered into peoples skulls. This also applies to hard drugs like alcohols, crack, cocaine, meth etc. The message and the teachings are the same. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.250.175.254 (talk) 20:45, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
