He was born in Germany, and was ethnic German. However he was one of those Germans who described themselves as "wmieszkani Polacy" or, as we would say today, "naturalised Poles". THis will be one of "this" pages, i could bet. In Polish encyclopedia he is described as "z pochodzenia Niemiec", "of German descendancy". "German from descendancy".szopen

Is anyone opposed to me moving this article from it's current namespace to Johannes Crellius? Crellius then could be made a redirect Deyyaz [ Talk | Contribs ] 14:33, 28 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

No opposition here.

I have altered this paragraph because it is in fact wrong. Crell was translated into English and two editions were published in London. I do not know whether Crell's English editions influenced English readers either at the time of their publication or in later years. I have included a citation for my change. Since Crell was not translated into English, knowledge of his works passed out of the later generations of English Unitarians. However Thomas Belsham is one of the Unitarian authors who had access to Crell in the Latin and Belsham repeatedly cites Crell in his The Epistles of Paul the Apostle Translated, with an Exposition, and Notes (1822). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.250.214.133 (talk) 05:19, 23 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
