Article name
editJohn Larson redirects here, and there is no John Larson (disambiguation) page, so perhaps this article should be moved from John B. Larson to John Larson. -Conrad (talk) 03:46, 11 February 2009 (UTC) I'm confused. Congressman Larson is listed as the Vice-Chair of the Democratic Caucus but he left that post. He is also listed as a member of the Select Committee on Energy Independence, but the House leadership eliminated that committee in 2011, and it hasn't existed since. Would anyone else who works on this page, mind if I remove these two (arguably now irrelevant) references? If no one else replies to this message in 10 days, I will consider the matter to have been settled in favor of what I consider to be a reasonable proposal and eliminate these references. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm happy to hear them! 74.69.121.132 (talk) 00:14, 16 May 2013 (UTC) Since no one else has responded to this message and the deadline has now been exceeded, I am making the edits. 74.69.121.132 (talk) 14:22, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Association with New Democrat Coalition
editThere is no citation to back the statement, "Larson is a member of the New Democrat Coalition." He is not listed in that article and he's not on the list at http://newdemocratcoalition-kind.house.gov/membership I think the fact that this a biography of a living person and that it's about the political affiliation of a politician may merit speedy deletion without provision of substantive references. jrun (talk) 18:30, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
- Based on some light Googling, it appears he was a member but is not any longer. Arbor8 (talk) 21:27, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
- I'm deleting it. As an article on a living person and an active politician I think it is very important that it be very accurate. If anyone finds sources for his past membership in the NDC, feel free to add it back with explicit language about the dates of his membership. jrun (talk) 01:03, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
