Additional information about Judge John B. Turner

edit

The Chronicles of Oklahoma published a note with some additional information about the judge and his wife. It was a follow-up to an article in the Tulsa Daily World of January 30, 1946, titled "Mrs. Flora Bell Turner Passes in Tennessee." It identified Mrs. Turner as the widow of the late John B. Turner, Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, who had served from 1907-1919, including two years as Chief Justice. Mrs Turner died January 27, 1946, in Adams, Tennessee, where she and her husband had lived since 1930.[1]

The note also mentioned that Judge Robert L. Williams had written the necrology for the judge, which was published in The Chronicles of Oklahoma, Vol. XVII, No. 2 (June, 1939), pp. 253-4. Apparently, the judge had died in 1937 at the home in Tennessee.</ref name = "Turner necrology note">
