editThe opening blurb is bogged down with too many details, but I don't know which ones are important enough to keep and which should be moved or removed. There's a specific comment that he was "named [the] first guest columnist by The New York Times," and I have no idea what "first guest columnist" is supposed to mean.
All in all, much of the article is taken verbatim from the sole reference item (Artists Repertory Theatre), which is the root cause of the many issues with the article as a whole. It's also worth checking whether the State Library of Louisiana is taking from this page or if page is plagiarizing them.
