I removed the section that deals with New Caprica because it is not relevant to the character of Brother Cavil. If his two copies were thrown out the airlock, he's un-involved in the New Caprica stuff, which is well covered in the article on the episode. --ZachPruckowski 06:25, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
"Roslin decides to vent both Cavils into space, to let them find out for themselves whether or not God exists." Bluh. Did she? I don't remember the two Cavils actually being put out the airlock. Did I simply miss it?Stevekl 22:17, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- You didnt miss it as they didnt actually show them being chucked out. MatthewFenton (talk • contribs) 08:57, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Episode 3x03
Is the Number Five model Doc Cottle operates on after getting shot up by the insurgents the Cavil model who got shot up by the insurgents at the botched execution? -- saberwyn 22:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ignore me. I've just learned that Fives are Dorals. -- saberwyn 22:46, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Names
When are we told that his name is John Cavil? I thought "John" and "Cavil" were two different names. It's not like the society would need first and last names when there are only 12 models.
I'm pretty sure people are just extrapolating that data from what they've seen on screen. I'm not even sure the term "Cavils" has been used on the series. It is never really made clear whether the entire line is referred to as "Cavil", or whether "Cavil" as a particular member of the Number One model (i.e. the model that took Galen's confession on Galactica).
"John" and "Cavil" could be two completely independent members of the same model for all we know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.100.129.195 (talk) 19:59, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
It would be hard to name the article "Number One" ;-D —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noloop (talk • contribs) 02:10, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ron Moore refers to the character as "John Cavil" in the podcast for "No Exit," so there is an official source for that name, even though it isn't used on air. As for determining which copy did what, I'm afraid there's too much confusion when dealing with any of the Cylons apart from the Sixes and Eights, which tend to have more concrete names for individual copies (especially the Sixes, since they never refer to them as "the Ginas" or "Shelleys" or something along those lines like they do for the other models). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.40.212.28 (talk) 07:18, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
